Development Manager (Progression to General Manager)

Location: Doha, Qatar Type: Full‑time Reports to: Group CEO, Elevion Group

The Role

Elevion Group is launching a new digital venture in Qatar. We are hiring a Development Manager who will build the business from the ground up from market entry to full operational setup. This is a hands‑on builder role, ideal for someone who has taken digital products or ecommerce services from concept to market.

As the venture grows, this role is designed to progress into General Manager, owning the full P&L, team leadership, and regional expansion.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the go‑to‑market strategy and initial launch in Qatar.
• Build and manage day‑to‑day operations, service delivery, and customer experience.
• Set up and optimize ecommerce workflows, digital service processes, and operational infrastructure.
• Support early P&L management, budgeting, and monthly reporting (full ownership as the role progresses).
• Hire, train, and lead the initial core team.
• Work closely with the technology team to prioritize product improvements based on real market data.
• Ensure legal, licensing, and regulatory compliance in Qatar.
• Develop partnerships, commercial channels, and early revenue streams.

Skills

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in ecommerce and operations (mandatory).
• Experience launching or scaling a digital product or service.
• Strong understanding of the Qatar / GCC market.
• Commercially sharp, comfortable with numbers, pricing, and margins.
• Hands‑on leader who builds from zero and thrives in fast‑moving environments.
• Experience with P&L ownership or financial accountability is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic strongly preferred.
