Job Title : Safety Officer

Location: Riyadh, Saudi

Contract: Yearly Renewable

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced SEC Approved Safety Officer for a project-based role in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in construction, industrial, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects, with a strong understanding of safety regulations, risk management, and workplace compliance. The candidate must possess valid Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) Approval and demonstrate expertise in implementing HSE policies, conducting safety inspections, hazard identification, incident investigation, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, and applicable safety regulations.

• Monitor the use of PPE and ensure employees follow required safety practices.

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness/training sessions.

• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases and prepare reports.

• Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and other HSE documentation.

• Monitor emergency preparedness, fire safety, and evacuation procedures.

• Coordinate with management and employees to improve workplace safety standards.

• Ensure unsafe activities or conditions are reported and addressed promptly.

• Support internal and external safety audits and inspections.

• Perform any other safety-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering, Fire & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.

• Relevant safety certification preferred.

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards, risk assessment, PPE, fire safety, and emergency procedures.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prepare safety reports and maintain documentation.
