Job descriptionA leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking experienced intensive care physicians to join its critical care team.
This opportunity is open to internationally trained physicians seeking to relocate to the UAE and offers the opportunity to work in a modern government healthcare environment with advanced intensive care facilities, multidisciplinary teams, and complex critical care services.
Candidates with internationally recognized qualifications, including UK CCT, Western qualified, American Board, Australian Board, and South African Board, are encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive critical care management for critically ill and complex patients.
• Assess, stabilize, and manage patients with life-threatening medical and surgical conditions.
• Provide advanced airway and ventilatory support, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Manage patients with sepsis, multi-organ failure, respiratory failure, shock, and other critical conditions.
• Perform and interpret relevant clinical investigations and bedside assessments.
• Develop individualized critical care and treatment plans.
• Manage hemodynamic instability and provide appropriate organ support.
• Coordinate patient care with emergency medicine, anesthesiology, surgery, cardiology, pulmonology, and other specialties.
• Participate in multidisciplinary ICU rounds and clinical decision-making.
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding clinical status and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and critical care governance initiatives.
• Contribute to teaching, training, and continuing professional development where applicable.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and evidence-based critical care practice.
Requirements
• Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in intensive care medicine, critical care medicine, anesthesiology, internal medicine, or an appropriate related specialty.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience in intensive or critical care.
• Strong experience managing critically ill patients in a hospital ICU environment.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced critical care management.
• Candidates with UK CCT, Western qualifications, American Board, Australian Board, or South African Board are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent clinical judgment and emergency decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
