Job Description
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, ensuring accurate change and receipts are given
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, including restocking supplies as needed
- Greet and assist customers with inquiries, providing excellent customer service
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to transactions promptly
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and security
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient checkout experience
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar customer service role
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Familiarity with cash registers and point-of-sale systems
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
