Business Development Specialist – Construction Industry

We are looking for Business Development Specialist – Construction Industry

Qualification:

  • • Market Research & Analysis:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights within the construction industry.
  • Identify potential clients, markets, and strategic partnerships.
  • • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell services.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met.
  • • Sales & Proposal Development:
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals, bids, and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts with clients and partners.
  • • Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and market expansion goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project management, operations, and marketing) to align efforts with business objectives.
  • • Networking & Brand Development:
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, such as architects, developers, contractors, and government agencies.
  • • Performance Metrics & Reporting:
  • Track and report on key performance metrics, including revenue growth, client acquisition, and market share.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business development activities and progress toward goals.



SKILLS

Preferred Skills & Qualification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or client management within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, project cycles, and industry stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
  • Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales tools.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with government contracts or large-scale commercial projects.
  • Existing network of industry contacts, including developers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and market dynamics.
