About the role This position offers the opportunity to lead a diversified investment portfolio and expand the Company s direct investment, fund management and co-investment activities, with full accountability for financial, investment and operational performance, strategy execution, and the delivery of sustainable returns to shareholders and investors. Role and Key Responsibilities The Chief Executive Officer reports to the Board of Directors and leads the Company s activities within its approved strategy and delegated authorities. Key responsibilities include:Strategy and Corporate Performance : Develop and execute the Company s strategy, annual business plan, budget and Balanced Scorecard, with full responsibility for profit and loss (P&L), effective capital allocation, and the achievement of investment and operational targets. Provide regular reporting to the Board on performance, risks and execution priorities.Direct Investment : Originate, evaluate, structure, negotiate and execute investment opportunities including private equity investments, greenfield projects and income-generating assets, in accordance with approved return requirements, risk parameters and investment priorities.Fund Management and Investment Platform Development : Lead the Company s fund management and co-investment platform activities and develop partnerships with institutional and sovereign investors in accordance with approved governance arrangements and delegated authorities, fulfilling fiduciary responsibilities and duties of care to investors, safeguarding their interests, and managing conflicts of interest.Portfolio Value Creation : Lead the active management of portfolio assets and companies, represent the company portfolio to the company boards, oversee the performance of management teams and operators, and implement growth, performance improvement and transformation initiatives to strengthen profitability, cash flow and investment value.Special Situations and Capital Protection : Lead restructurings, refinancing, distressed investment resolutions, settlements and contractual dispute management. Negotiate investment-related security arrangements and rights to protect the Company s capital, interests and legal position.Exits and Investment Realization : Develop and execute exit and monetization strategies, determine appropriate transaction timing and structures, and redeploy capital into approved growth opportunities.Strategic Relationships and Organizational Leadership : Represent the Company at ministerial level and with shareholders, boards and partners, and strengthen relationships with the Oman Investment Authority and Future Fund Oman. Build, develop and retain a high-performing leadership team, embed a culture of accountability and investment discipline, and uphold the highest standards of governance, risk management and compliance.What the Company Offers The company offers a competitive executive remuneration and benefits package, including performance-linked incentives in accordance with approved policies and shareholder guidelines. Qualifications and ExperienceAcademic and Professional Qualifications : A bachelor s degree in a relevant discipline. An MBA or a recognized professional qualification such as CFA, ACA, ACCA or CPA, or an equivalent designation, is preferred.Leadership Experience : At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in investment or the financial sector, including at least 5 years in a senior executive position in investment management or private equity.End-to-End Investment Track Record : Demonstrated achievements across the full investment lifecycle, from origination and evaluation through structuring, negotiation and execution to value creation and exit, together with direct, hands-on experience in managing assets and operating companies and improving their performance.Institutional and Fund Development : A strong track record of establishing or developing organizations, funds, business units or investment platforms, and translating strategy into actionable plans and measurable results. Experience in fund management, working with institutional and sovereign investors, restructuring, distressed investments and special situations is a significant advantage.Executive Presence and Stakeholder Engagement : The credibility and ability to communicate and negotiate at ministerial, board, senior executive and shareholder levels, supported by an understanding of the business environment in the GCC and Southeast Asia and an established network within the investment community.Integrity and Professional Judgement : Unquestionable integrity, independence of thought, sound judgement in assessing opportunities and risks under uncertainty, and the ability to provide clear and candid recommendations to the Board, make balanced decisions, and lead teams towards shared objectives.
