Job description

Handle customs clearance activities for imports, exports, re-exports and other movements of goods relating to Hamriyah Free Zone operations.Prepare, review and process customs declarations and supporting documentation.Coordinate documentation for movement of goods between the Free Zone, UAE mainland, ports and other relevant locations.Ensure compliance with Hamriyah Free Zone and applicable UAE/Sharjah customs regulations and procedures.Coordinate with customs authorities, Hamriyah Free Zone authorities, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters and clearing agents as required.Verify invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading/airway bills, delivery orders and other shipping/customs documentation before submission.Ensure correct HS code classification and maintain the required supporting records.Monitor customs clearance status and follow up on documentation issues, inspections, approvals or delays.Maintain proper records of customs declarations, import/export documentation, permits, approvals and related correspondence.Coordinate with Logistics, Stores, Sales, Finance and other departments to ensure documentation and clearance requirements are completed on time.Support reconciliation of imported, exported and re-exported goods against customs and company records.Monitor changes in customs and Hamriyah Free Zone requirements and ensure that our processes remain compliant.Identify customs-related risks, documentation discrepancies or potential penalties and escalate them promptly. Relevant qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Shipping, Business Administration or a related field.Practical experience in customs clearance, import/export or shipping documentation in the UAE.Previous hands-on experience with Hamriyah Free Zone customs procedures is strongly preferred.Good knowledge of UAE customs procedures, Free Zone transactions, HS codes and import/export documentation.Experience dealing directly with customs authorities, Free Zone authorities, freight forwarders and clearing agents.Good understanding of import, export, re-export and Free Zone-to-mainland movements.Strong attention to detail and ability to independently follow up shipments and documentation.Good English communication skills; Arabic would be an advantage.Good working knowledge of MS Office and relevant customs/Free Zone online systems.
