About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Mgr-Security I (Saudi Only) to assist the Director of Security in managing daily security operations. This full-time role focuses on ensuring the continuous protection and safety of property assets, employees, and guests, as well as overseeing accident and fire prevention and response. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing emergency procedures.

• Recommend follow-up actions for security breaches and conduct investigations of property asset losses.

• Deploy security staff to effectively monitor and protect property assets.

• Ensure compliance with Corporate Security safety and security management guidelines and procedures.

• Complete proper documentation and report all employee accident and general liability incidents.

• Conduct periodic patrols of the entire property and parking areas, maintaining required reports and documentation.

• Identify and recommend actions for minimizing physical hazards and unsafe work practices, and implement action plans to monitor and control risk.

• Handle guest problems and complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.

• Inspect all security equipment to ensure full functionality.

• Provide means for obtaining necessary medical attention on a timely basis.

• Conduct hourly employee performance appraisals and disciplinary procedures according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).

• Maintain first aid and CPR certifications required for Security officers.

• Implement local authority requirements for security and safety.

Team Leadership and Development

• Attend pre- and post-convention and weekly forecast meetings to gather critical information for security officers.

• Communicate the importance of safety procedures and monitor related processes.

• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members, demonstrating honesty and integrity.

• Solicit employee feedback, utilize an "open door" policy, and review employee satisfaction results to address concerns.

• Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

• Identify developmental needs of others and provide coaching, mentoring, or assistance to improve knowledge and skills.

• Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

Customer Service and Human Resources Support

• Display leadership in guest hospitality, exemplify excellent customer service, and create a positive atmosphere for guest relations.

• Empower employees to provide excellent customer service and meet quality standards and customer expectations.

• Provide services that exceed expectations for customer satisfaction and retention.

• Assist in minimizing the cost of accident claims through aggressive claims management.

• Bring issues to the attention of Human Resources as necessary and administer property policies fairly and consistently.

Additional Duties

• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions and solve problems.

• Develop and maintain a working relationship with local law enforcement authorities.

• Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.

• Provide guidance in setting health and safety policies and standards.

• Coordinate with Event Sales for VIP escort and media control for large events.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in security operations.

• Ability to manage security operations, including accident and fire prevention and response.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Proficiency in maintaining logs, certifications, and required documentation.

• Must be a Saudi national.
