teams in Bahrain.

Job Content

It is with you, that industry can do it!  

We are currently seeking a Preparation Operator to carry out material
preparation activities, including cutting, shaping, staging and
coordination of raw materials, to support workshop operations and ensure
effective flow management between workshop functions. The role is
responsible for assisting with raw material stock control, ensuring stock
alignment within ERP, and issuing materials against the corresponding work
orders in line with Company policies and procedures, HSEQ requirements, and
recognized industry standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Material preparation, including cutting, marking, edge preparation,
arranging and handling of plates, sections and other raw materials
* Grinding of materials and removal of irregular sharp edges, burrs and
rough surfaces to ensure safe handling and readiness for the next
workshop process
* Operation of preparation equipment such as CNC plasma, band saw and
related workshop tools
* Review of drawings, specifications, material take-offs, work orders
and production priorities
* Execution of material preparation requirements in line with workshop
schedules
* Coordination with Warehouse and workshop functions
* Management of material flow to reduce waiting time and support smooth
workshop execution
* Loading, unloading, movement and positioning of raw materials and
prepared parts using approved lifting and handling equipment
* Safe handling of materials while maintaining identification and
traceability
* Raw material stock monitoring, including availability, shortages,
segregation and material identification
* Escalation of replenishment requirements to the Workshop Production
Engineer or warehouse team
* Verification of physical stock against ERP records, including
material details, quantities, locations, usage and heat numbers where
applicable
* Issuance of materials against the corresponding work orders in ERP or
approved records
* Accurate recording of material allocation, traceability and
consumption
* Detection and reporting of machine, tool, material or process
abnormalities
* Maintenance of preparation records, machine operating logs, ERP
updates and material issue documentation
* Routine checks and basic preventive maintenance of preparation
equipment, tools and work areas
* Quality checks on prepared materials to confirm dimensions,
identification, finish and conformity with drawings and work orders
Compliance with HSEQ requirements, Company policies, workshop safety
procedures and recognised industry standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in material preparation,
cutting operations, workshop material handling, stock coordination,
or related workshop activities

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

* Basic user of MS Office applications
* Experience in ERP material transactions, stock verification, and
material issuance against work orders is advantageous
* Ability to read basic drawings, material lists, work orders, and
material identification details
* Experience in operating or supporting CNC plasma, band saw, grinding
tools, and material preparation equipment is advantageous
* Knowledge of safe material handling, lifting practices, sharp-edge
removal, and workshop housekeeping requirements
* Experience in working with AutoCAD is advantageous
