Technical Team Leader & Technical Engineer

Job description

Al Remal Aluminium & Glass Industries LLC is a UAE façade and glazing contractor. We design, fabricate and install curtain walls, windows, doors, skylights, shopfronts and cladding. We are expanding our technical department and hiring for 2 positions:

1. Technical Team Leader (1 position)
• Report to the Technical Manager and lead the day-to-day work of the engineers and draftsmen
• Distribute tasks across projects and make sure drawings and submittals are delivered on time
• Check shop drawings, fabrication drawings and calculations before they go to the Technical Manager and consultants
• Prepare the more complex façade details and handle project-specific technical problems
• Coordinate with the factory and site teams on fabrication and installation issues
• Follow up on consultant comments, RFIs and approval status
• Requirements: engineering degree, at least 6 years of façade/aluminium experience in the UAE or GCC, and experience guiding or supervising a small technical team

2. Technical Engineer (1 position)
• Prepare shop drawings, fabrication drawings and details for curtain walls, windows, doors, skylights and cladding
• Prepare material submittals and manage drawing revisions after consultant comments
• Produce cutting lists, glass schedules and bills of materials for the factory
• Support estimation with quantity take-offs and visit sites to take measurements
• Requirements: engineering degree or diploma, 3 to 6 years of aluminium/glazing experience, strong AutoCAD skills

Both roles:
• Strong knowledge of aluminium profiles and systems (e.g. Schüco, Technal, Reynaers, Gulf Extrusions or similar) and glass types
• UAE experience preferred and a UAE driving licence is a plus
• Based in Sharjah, with site visits across the UAE
