King’s College Doha currently caters for over 1700 children, aged 3 to 18 (Pre-School to Year 13) and will continue to expand as we grow our 6th Form.

The School campuses are conveniently located in the district of Al Thumama and Mesaimeer, easily accessible from all parts of Doha and only a twenty-minute drive from the City centre. Our impressive campuses offer superb facilities. For the Prep and Senior School, these include a dedicated library, a central atrium, science labs, an art and design centre, music and drama classrooms and practice rooms, several computer labs, a sports hall, swimming pool and copious amounts of outdoor sports facilities. On our Pre-Prep Campus, we have equally impressive, child centred facilities, specifically designed around Pre-Prep aged pupils.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Class Teacher to join our vibrant and dynamic team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to inspire and nurture young minds, ensuring that every child receives a high-quality education in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• To deliver a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum.

• To deliver well-planned, engaging and creative lessons, ensuring that the needs of all children are met.

• To maintain high standards of assessment and recording of pupil progress.

• To offer excellent pastoral care for all children.

• To participate fully in King’s College Doha’s co-curricular and school activity program.

• To attend assemblies, departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, school functions and other staff meetings.

• To value the home-school partnership, working closely with other members of staff to establish good relationships with parents.

• To maintain a high standard of timekeeping and personal presentation.

Required Qualifications
• University Degree

• UK Post Graduate Certification of Education (or Equivalent).

• Qualified Teacher Status A minimum of three years teaching experience.

• Excellent working knowledge of the British National Curriculum.

• Early Years applications (Pre-School and Reception) should have excellent working knowledge of the EYFS Framework.

• High levels of subject knowledge.

• Experience working with children who have English as a Second Language needs is desirable.

Legal Requirements
• Police clearance certificate from home country (ACRO) https://www.acro.police.uk/icpc if residing in the UK (less than 6 months old). If not residing in UK, a police clearance certificate is required from country of residence (not less than 6 months old).

• Education certificates/transcripts/University Letter must be attested by MOFA and Qatar Embassy home country.

Training and Development
• Regularly review own practice, set personal development targets and take responsibility for own continuous professional development. You will be required to complete mandatory online Edu-care Courses as part of continuing Education and First Aid Course.

Recruitment Safeguarding
King's College Doha takes safeguarding the welfare of children and young people very seriously and expects the same from its employees. All staff will be subject to rigorous background checks to include three professional references. All education certificates and supporting documents need to be attested to show authenticity. Successful applicants must provide a police clearance certificate from home country and Qatar. Local police clearance certificates must be less than one year old. In addition, all new staff/volunteers will attend KCD induction and undertake mandatory child protection online training which is required by the Qatar Ministry of Education.
